PSA: Final Fantasy XIV Removes Free Trial 14 Day Time Limit

Square Enix announced a few days ago that they would be removing the 14 day time limit for the free trial of Final Fantasy XIV. Together with the removal of the time limit, they've increased the level cap for the free trial from level 20 to level 35. There are a few more limitations that are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and while these changes won't get you all the way to the end of the game, it's far enough for players to be able to try out the job classes that come at level 30.

To me, I still feel that Final Fantasy XIV is one of the best Final Fantasy game out there in the market currently and giving players a chance to try out a good chunk of the early game before investing money into the game and subsequently monthly fees is a good thing. While many will still argue that it should be a free-to-play game in the current climate of gaming, I feel it belittles the amount of updates, work and content that goes into the game. I've  personally invested close to the hundredths of hours into the game, I've yet to even scratch the surface of all the classes, ultimate weapons, raids, and even the main quest that keeps getting added on to. So give the free trial a shot, if you haven't already, even if you have and have yet to purchase the license for the full game you are eligible to extend your free trial as well.
